Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s upbringing and relationship to brother are key to sparing him from death penalty, experts say

If the United States decides to seek the death penalty for Boston Marathon bomb suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, his defense team will try to show that his brother, Tamerlan, was the mastermind behind the plot.

The devil, as the saying goes, is in the details.
Whether accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is put to death or spends the rest of his life in prison may depend on his defense team’s ability to show that his older brother, Tamerlan, was the true mastermind of the plot, three prominent attorneys tell the Daily News.

After FBI probes, questions on granting of asylum


Ibragim Todashev told federal immigration officials he feared persecution in his native Russia and needed safe harbor in the United States. He won asylum in 2008, then a green card. Then, relatives said, Todashev made plans to return to the country he’d fled.

Before he could follow through on those plans, the 27-year-old was shot and killed in Orlando on May 22 by an FBI agent investigating the Boston Marathon bombings. But Todashev’s willingness to return to a place he said he feared is raising new questions about his asylum claim, and focusing new attention on the asylum case of his friend, suspected Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

FEMA signs deal with Russian Emergency Situations Ministry to "exchange experts” Paul Joseph Watson Infowars.com As part of a deal signed last week in Washington DC between the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and FEMA, Russian officials will provide "security at mass events” in the United States, a scenario that won’t sit well with Americans wary of foreign assets operating on US soil.
